The training will cover the setup of the Payroll module, Payroll check processing, setup of Benefits & Deductions, Direct Deposit functionality, and periodic Payroll reporting. Additionally, you will walk away with real live scenarios and tips and tricks to keep your Payroll module in good working order.

Audience

This course is targeted towards end-users who need to understand the functional aspects of using the Microsoft Dynamics GP Payroll modules.

Upon course completions students should be able to:

  • Use Payroll Setup windows to customize the application to organizational needs
  • Set up Benefits and Deductions in Payroll
  • Create pay codes, deduction codes, benefit codes, taxes and other employee related items used to calculate Payroll checks
  • Assign methods to calculate vacation and sick time for employees
  • Process, generate and void Payroll checks for employees
  • Use miscellaneous Payroll tools such as Payroll Gross Up and Compensation Management
  • Create Payroll report options and produce desired reports
  • Print numerous other Payroll documents such as W-2’s, 1099R’s and others
  • Use Direct Deposit instead of generating checks for certain employees
  • Close the Payroll year and prepare the system for the next year

Prerequisites

Before attending this training class, it is recommended that individuals have:

  • Some working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics GP
  • Some basic understanding of Payroll law and regulations

Cancellation Policy

Classes are subject to cancellation by Arctic IT if registration does not meet the required attendance level. Cancellations by Arctic IT will be made 2 weeks prior to the start date of the class if necessary.

  • 100% Refund – If you cancel your confirmed attendance more than 2 weeks prior to the start date of the course, 100% of the course fee will be refunded.
  • 50% Refund – If you cancel your confirmed attendance less than 2 weeks prior to the start date of the course, 50% of the course fee will be refunded.
  • 0% Refund – Failure to attend a class without notifying Arctic IT prior to the start date of the course will be considered a ‘no show’ and the entire course fee will be forfeited.

** If you are registered in a course that is cancelled, you will be notified with an offer to reschedule into a future class or receive a refund. Attendees are advised not to purchase non-refundable or non-changeable airline tickets, as Arctic Information Technology will not be held responsible for payment of airline rescheduling charges due to class cancellations.
