Job Summary

Arctic IT is seeking a Marketing Team Intern to join our team for a 10-week internship. This position will report directly to the Director of Marketing and will assist in all aspects of marketing activities for the company. As a member of a highly-energetic team, your role will contribute to our continued efforts in marketing to commercial, tribal, federal, and state and local government accounts. 

The Marketing Intern is responsible for helping the Marketing Director and Digital Marketing Manager with various marketing tasks. As a marketing intern, you will collaborate with our marketing and advertising team in all stages of marketing campaigns.  

Essential Functions

  • Perform market analysis and research on competition 
  • Support the marketing team in daily administrative tasks 
  • Assist in marketing and advertising promotional activities (e.g. social media, direct mail and web) 
  • Prepare promotional presentations 
  • Help distribute marketing materials 
  • Manage and update company database and customer relationship management systems (CRM) 
  • Help organize marketing events 
  • Assist in video projects and other graphical projects  

Qualifications

  • Freshman or higher college student in good standing  
  • Must be a Doyon Shareholder  

Preferred Qualifications:  

  • Pursuing a career or prior work experience within the following fields:  Marketing, Sales, or Business 
  • 3.0 overall GPA  
  • knowledge of MS Office 
  • Familiarity with marketing computer software and online applications (e.g. CRM tools, Online analytics and Google Adwords) 
  • Passion for the marketing industry and its best practices 
  • Adobe Creative Cloud experience a plus 
  • Valid Driver’s license, ready access to a registered vehicle and must be able to provide proof of state required insurance on registered vehicle 

Working Environment

The majority of work for this role is performed in a home office and interacts with a wide variety of people with differing functions, personalities, and abilities. Telecommuters are expected to have sufficient home office space that appears neat, organized, and professional when on video meetings.
