Attention Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM Users

Did you know Microsoft has a great new interface that provides better performance, enhanced productivity, and easier navigation? This new interface is called the Unified Interface.

While it is still considered new, it has actually been around for over two years, and so it has become a stable feature within the Dynamics 365 platform. The Unified Interface for Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM provides a responsive web experience, which means regardless of the device you are using, the screen size and orientation is optimized for that device. For more information on the different CRM application options available within D365, visit our web page on CRM Applications.

The timeline and how to proceed

Microsoft has recently announced that the legacy Dynamics 365 CRM interface will be depreciated by December 2020, mandating that all clients move to the Unified Interface. This move requires a careful assessment of your D365 CRM form layouts, business rules, workflows, and any customizations that have been implemented to extend your application.

An assessment can be accomplished through a set of tools that have been made available by Microsoft and other third-party vendors. However, the results provided by the assessment tools require technical resources who understand how to interpret the results.

Choose a Microsoft Partner that can help

You will need skilled resources in D365 CRM who understand how the application works and how changes are implemented, in order to update your solution to make full use of all the features available within Unified Interface.

Before you make the move, ask yourself these questions.

  • Do you have the knowledge and expertise within your organization to make the move to Unified Interface?
  • Do you have the experience of implementing new features from Microsoft and know how to react when the changes you make cause other unexpected responses to existing features?
  • Are you confident that your organization can configure your D365 CRM solution to take full advantage of all the latest features available within Unified Interface?

If you answered “no” to any of these, have no fear. Arctic IT has the knowledge and experience you need.
