“What you get by achieving your goals is not as important as what you become by achieving your goals” – Henry David Thoreau
What you love about your job/working for AIT:
Without question, my favorite thing about working at Arctic IT is the people – we have a great team of customer-focused professionals with incredible talent.
Throughout the course of my career one theme has been constant – working out how best to apply technology – whether for clients or the companies I worked for – to solve business challenges. This holds true for my time in the Internet Service Provider industry where I worked with consumers and businesses to identify the best, most economical ways to access the Internet, as a project and program manager, business analyst or as a business owner.
Developing wide area networking, storage, server, and networking solutions to meet business objectives and goals. Have held ownership stakes (as a sole proprietor or partner) in three businesses previously which provides a practical perspective to the consulting and support I provide clients today.
Graduated from Diamond High School, Charter College (Computerized Account Systems), and have continued undergrad work at Alaska Pacific University.
Sales certifications include HP Storage, McAfee, Symantec, and multiple Microsoft qualifications.
Charities I support:
Junior Achievement of Alaska (State Board Secretary), Anchorage Fairs & Festivals (President), Alaska Workers Association (Organizing Committee Member)
Places I have lived:
Norfolk, VA; Honolulu, HI; Anchorage, AK
Motorcycle touring, international travel, and more recently physical fitness.
I have family spread all over the globe and enjoy visiting as often as possible – familial destinations include Indonesia, South Africa, Australia, Mauritius. I’m also a bit of a gadget-guy – I love figuring out (playing with) new technology.
